Munich police report a busy New Year’s Eve

The police in Munich said they had a busy New Year’s Eve behind them. A spokesman said the officers were called to more than 600 missions from Friday evening to Saturday morning. This included 120 disturbances of the peace, 50 crimes of bodily harm and more than 40 missions in connection with pyrotechnics. In 13 cases there were indications of violations of the Infection Protection Act, it said.

The fire brigade in charge of the state capital spoke of a “relatively calm New Year”. The fire brigade registered 58 missions. According to the information, there were no injuries.
