According to the police, the scramble was preceded by a brawl. Then the anger turned against the officials, young people showed solidarity against the police. Around 50 bottles were thrown at the police officers.

The officers had to use baton and pepper spray to calm the situation. The sad result: 19 police officers were slightly injured, but are still fit for duty.

Police spokesman Sven Müller asked BILD on Saturday evening: “Six people were arrested. We are investigating assault, resistance and assault against law enforcement officers and breaches of the peace. “

Jürgen Ascherl (57), Deputy State Chairman of the German Police Union, on BILD: “I am appalled by the behavior of our fellow citizens and, above all, by the aggressiveness that the police are countering here. The police only do their job and politicians are responsible for these regulations. “

Two weeks ago there was a police operation in the English Garden. At that time there was a fight between several young men – three people (22, 23, 24) were injured.

The 24-year-old from Augsburg was even hit on the head with a bottle – severe traumatic brain injury!
