For Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr, Munich is apparently the worst airport in Europe. The airline has already drawn conclusions from this.
For Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr, Munich airport is the worst in all of Europe. According to “Spiegel”, Spohr is said to have said that delays and a lack of staff are the order of the day there.
Accordingly, a Lufthansa Cityline pilot told the staff meeting in Münchenhe and his boss Spohr agree: Munich is currently the worst airport in Europe. Spohr is also said to regularly annoy Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder and tell him that Munich is even worse than Frankfurt.
Frankfurt Airport is often referred to as the “Moloch am Main” because many things don’t work there. Last year Lufthansa relocated aircraft from Frankfurt to Munich, but now the airline is partially reversing the move, according to “Spiegel”. Ultimately, Lufthansa does not expect any improvement in Bavaria. Service providers in particular have problems finding staff.
The pilot also reports that he has tears of joy in his eyes when he lands in Munich and both a staircase and ground power arrive at the aircraft at the same time.
Munich Airport recently made negative headlines because there was great chaos on Thursday. The queue was said to be up to two kilometers long at one point, and people were apparently milling about throughout the entire building.
