Prices for holiday accommodation in Munich will reach new heights during the Oktoberfest 2024. According to an evaluation by the holiday home portal Holiday Visitors pay an average of 165 euros per person per night, reported the “TZ“. On the opening weekend (21 and 22 September) the prices are even 130 percent higher than the previous week’s rates.
In the first week of the Oktoberfest (23 to 29 September), the prices for holiday accommodation in Munich will continue to rise to around 176 euros per night. It will be particularly expensive in Maxvorstadt, where two people will have to pay up to 1530 euros for two nights.
Affordable accommodation alternatives for the Oktoberfest in the Munich area
According to “TZ”, visitors to the Oktoberfest in the Munich area can save a lot of money. Holiday accommodation in Erding costs just 82 euros per person per night. In Dachau, Fürstenfeldbruck and Rosenheim, prices are between 60 and 83 euros. However, those interested in the Oktoberfest must be quick, because according to reports in “TZ”, 88 percent of all accommodation is already booked out one month before it begins.
Prices for a Maß at the Oktoberfest 2024 rise to over 15 euros
But accommodation is not the only thing that puts a strain on your wallet when visiting the world’s largest folk festival. At the 2024 Oktoberfest in Munich, a liter of beer will cost between 13.60 euros and 15.30 euros this year. The cheapest liter can be purchased in the Familienplatzl – Weissbiergarten for 13.60 euros, while the highest price is 15.30 euros in the Münchner Stubn. In Kufflers Weinzelt, a liter of wheat beer costs 17.80 euros. The prices for food and drinks have generally increased, including those for non-alcoholic drinks.
