The mumok – Museum of Modern Art is now part of the gradual reopening of the museums from June 17th. In coordination with the opening times of the Leopold Museum, which is also located in the Museumsquartier and will open again on May 27, the mumok will be open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The duration of the exhibitions “Lived” by Ingeborg Strobl and “Steve Reinke. Butter”, which opened just a few days before the museum closed, will be extended into autumn / winter. The exhibitions “James Coleman. Lapsus Exlosure”, “Objects Recognized in Flashes” and “Reading Time in Space. Modernism in mumok 1910 to 1955” will also be extended into autumn. The opening of the exhibition trilogy on Andy Warhol, scheduled for April 30, will be postponed to the end of September and decoupled. A project from the Warhol triad, the exhibition “Misfitting Together. Serial Formations of Pop Art, Minimal Art and Conceptual Art” will be accessible from July 1st.

At the end of May, the mumok employees will be brought back from short-time work, trained accordingly and familiarized with the health policy measures catalog “in order to enable visitors to visit the museum as carefree as possible,” says Karola Kraus, General Director of mumok.
