Vikrant Massey-Vijay Sethupathi-Hridu Haroon’s thriller drama Mumbaikar will release on June 2 on Geocinema. The world digital premiere will be held on Friday.
Directed by Santhosh Sivan, the film also stars Tanya Maniktala, Ranveer Shorey, Sanjay Mishra in lead roles.
Mumbaikar follows a hyper-linked plot structure that involves the lives of unrelated characters who meet on the roads in multiple incidents during a day-night journey in the city of Mumbai.
The film has been produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Rhea Shibu. Released by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the trailer received huge response and was well received by the audience.
I am excited to be back in the director’s seat for a Hindi film after a gap of almost 11 years. Mumbai is not just a city but a feeling and this feeling plays an important role in the film. I had a specific theme in mind and I am thankful to this team for translating it so beautifully on screen through the excellent performances of the actors.
