Shooting at Fort Lauderdale Apartment Complex Leaves Multiple Victims

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A shooting at an apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale has left multiple victims, according to the Broward County Police Department. The incident occurred on Wednesday night in the area of Northwest 19th Street and 29th Avenue.

Fort Lauderdale police responded to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting with multiple victims. Upon arrival, they discovered that a group of people had gathered in the courtyard of the apartment complex when they were confronted by another group.

A total of five individuals, including two juveniles, were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. Among the victims, one adult sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the police.

A witness, who resides in the apartment complex, recounted the terrifying ordeal. She stated that she saw the shooting unfold and even assisted one of the victims who had been shot in the leg. Expressing her fear and frustration, she said, “It’s scary, and I’m ready to move. This is ridiculous. We can’t even let our kids outside and feel safe because every day there’s a shooting, and you’re scared to let your kids outside.”

Authorities are currently working to locate the suspects involved in the shooting. They are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Fort Lauderdale police or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
