According to El Paso police, an argument broke out when uninvited guests arrived at the party. The situation escalated when a shooter began firing into the crowd, hitting multiple people. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 9 p.m., with police and ambulances responding to what was described as a “mass shooting” on emergency radio traffic.

A police spokesperson confirmed that eight individuals were injured in the shooting. Six of the victims were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening wounds. The medical condition of the victims has not been released at this time. The wounded have been identified as Michelle Lopez, 18, Cristina Solis, 18, three 16-year-old boys, two 16-year-old girls, and a 15-year-old girl. One of the 16-year-old girls is from Santa Teresa, New Mexico, while the rest are from El Paso.

The Gang Unit is leading the investigation into the shooting and is working to identify and apprehend those responsible. As of Saturday morning, no arrests had been made.
