Seven people were bitten by papatti in Kuzhalmandam Kannanur Pudukode Shivkshetra premises. Ravindran (63) of Kannanur Melepura, Chakalakalaparam Sivan (38), Chidambaranath (40) of Thekinkad, Thayankotupura Vilasini (50), Nandan (33), Kanakalatha (39) and Chandran (40) of Pudukkode Nanathukalam sought treatment at the district hospital. They were walking on the road and were bitten by papatti. In the last two days, many people have been bitten by papatti and people are panicking. It is a situation where women and children cannot go on the road. There is an allegation that the residents of Kuzhalmandam panchayat authorities did not look back after the incident of seven people being bitten by papati within two days.
