Eight pedestrians were injured this Sunday morning after being run over during what police sources call “a meeting of motorists” in The Bronx.
The incident occurred shortly after seven in the vicinity of Commerce and Gleason avenues, in the Castle Hill sector.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred while a BMW that was carrying out reckless maneuvers turning in circles was struck by a white Jeep Cherokee.
This caused both the driver of the crashed car and eight pedestrians to be slightly injured.
All were transferred to different hospitals in the area.
After the fact, witnesses saw a jeep with New Jersey license plates flee the scene.
There are no arrests at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
