9 people were seriously and moderately injured, as a result of the fall of a game inside an amusement park in the resort of Gamasa, Dakahlia Governorate, while they were inside it, and the injured were transferred to Al-Azhar University Hospitals in New Damietta and Gamasa Central Hospital.
Major General Marwan Habib, Director of Dakahlia Security, had received a notification from Major General Mohamed Abd al-Hadi, Director of Criminal Investigations, stating that a report had been received by the sheriff of the Gamasa Police Department that a game had fallen inside an amusement park and that there were wounded and wounded.
Officers of the Investigation Unit of the Gamasa Police Department and ambulances moved to the place of the report, and upon examination, it was found that the “sieve” game fell during its operation, and due to the lack of safety and security requirements, it fell with a number of clear people inside, causing 9 people to be seriously injured, between critical and moderate.
The injured were transferred to Al-Azhar University Hospitals in New Damietta and Gamasa Central Hospital to receive the necessary treatment, and a security cordon was imposed in the vicinity of the game, which witnessed the incident, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
A necessary report was drawn up and the public office was notified of the incident to initiate investigations.
It is noteworthy that the Governor of Dakahlia had issued a directive to the heads of cities and neighborhoods to review the licenses for games and amusement parks within the scope of each center, city and neighborhood, and to ensure the availability of industrial security requirements and review the maintenance of games, after the city of Mansoura witnessed an accident in which 14 students were injured as a result of a falling game in Paradise Club during December of 2019.
The governor also decided to form a committee of industrial security to review all the games and amusement parks in the entire governorate, close the violating amusement parks and immediately confiscate the unfit games in order to ensure the lives of children, in addition to reviewing the requirements of industrial security and insurance for games inside clubs and youth centers.
The governor stressed the need to review all licenses for amusement parks and game areas spread in public parks and main streets.
