According to the chairman of the Kherson Regional State Administration, Alexander Prokudin, three women aged 82, 76 and 49 were injured as a result of the shelling. They were treated at the hospital. Further treatment is outpatient.
Two 54-year-old men were also injured, and Kherson residents, 55 and 58 years old, received multiple shrapnel wounds. Their injuries were minor and they were treated at the scene. They refused hospitalization.
“Two private houses were destroyed at the site of the hit, three were partially destroyed, and 10 houses were damaged,” wrote Prokudin.
He also said that the city of Berislav was also under Russian shelling. A 62-year-old man was injured there. He has a blast injury and multiple abrasions.
According to the State Emergency Service, the Russian strike hit the city center.
“In the evening, a powerful explosion shook the entire city. The enemy fell into the very center of Kherson,” the report said.
Rescue services immediately arrived at the scene of the incident.
According to preliminary data, two women, 76 and 83 years old, were trapped in one of the houses. They were quickly evacuated from the premises.
The explosion also caused a fire in destroyed house structures, which firefighters quickly extinguished.
