Operations manager in the police, Tore Guldbrandsen, says that the driver is a woman in her 50s.
– She explains that she has lost control and driven into the bus shelter. We have received an explanation from her on the spot, he says to Dagbladet.
There is currently no suspicion that the woman was under the influence of drugs. It has not been decided whether she will be arrested.

Alberto Canto Arrendondo (80) stands shaken at the bus stop with his grandson.
– We were waiting for the bus, there were a lot of people. Suddenly the car drove onto the pavement and hit my daughter and my son, he says, pointing to the black car, full of Ikea boxes, which is parked next to the bus shelter and is being pulled over by the police.
Arredondo says that the daughter and son are in an ambulance at the scene.
– They have broken bones, both of them, he says.
