NES / OSLO (Dagbladet): When the police arrived at the scene in Nes, they found two adult women and a child dead. The presumed perpetrator is a well-grown man, according to the Oslo police.
– There is no partner relationship between the alleged perpetrator and the victims, says police inspector Grete Metlid in the Oslo police district to NTB.
According to Dagbladet’s information, the presumed perpetrator is the father and grandfather of the deceased.
Suspect murder and suicide
Four people were declared dead on the spot after the emergency services went to a smoke-filled home in Nes municipality in Romerike.
The police have no reason to believe that there are others involved in the case.
The police have launched a murder investigation. At 17.00 police chief Cecilie Lilaas-Skari and head of GDE Romerike, Terje Didriksen, will meet the press at Lillestrøm police station.
– Just after 11.00 today, the police received a report of a serious incident in a private residence in Nes municipality. Four dead people were found at the scene, says Lilaas-Skari.

She says that the police’s hypothesis is that the home is the scene of the murder.
The police state that they suspect murder and suicide. The home was full of smoke when the emergency services arrived. Four people were taken out and all were confirmed dead, says the police chief.
On the basis of the injuries and information, the police started a murder investigation.
– All four are in the family. One of those killed was an employee of the East police district, confirms the police chief.

Lilaas-Skari describes the case as a tragic event that affects them all.
– We work to look after the relatives and our crews. This is a difficult day for us in the East police district, who have lost a dear colleague. But of course we think most of all about her loved ones, she says.

Eidsvoll police station will be closed on Wednesday, Dagbladet is informed.
The public prosecutor has decided that the case will be investigated by the Oslo police district.
Lilaas-Skari says she does not have details about who alerted the emergency services. She also does not want to go into more detail about the relationship the four had, other than that they were family.
