The cantonal police in Uri pulled several drivers out of traffic on Saturday and Sunday because of alcohol or drug consumption.

On Saturday, shortly after 8.30 a.m., a patrol from the Uri cantonal police followed a passenger car with two occupants. On the Trippstrasse in Schattdorf, the vehicle with Hungarian license plates was subjected to a more detailed check.

Symptoms of possible drug use were found in the 48-year-old Hungarian driver. Two delayed drug tests were performed, both of which were positive. As a result, the Uri public prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample.
