Multimillionaire Robert Durst (74) was convicted of the murder of his best friend Susan Berman in 2000.

The story of Durst and the mysterious murders and doomsday wins in his immediate circle was made known through the HBO documentary “The Jinx” in 2015.
The 78-year-old is found guilty of premeditated murder, and is sentenced to life in prison for the murder.
Berman was found dead in California shortly before she was to speak to investigators about the mysterious disappearance of Robert Durst’s first wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst, who was last seen in 1982.
Robert Durst has always claimed that the last thing he saw of his wife was when he dropped her off at a train station.
Prosecution: – Narcissistic psychopath
Durst has also denied the allegations of murder of Susan Berman, and says he panicked when he found his friend dead, and ran away from the scene in 2000. Most recently in court in August this year, he denied the allegations.
According to The Guardian, the prosecution in the trial believed that Durst had killed Berman to avoid giving the police new information about his wife’s disappearance. They also described him as a “narcissistic psychopath”, demanding that he be held accountable.
The trial began in a Los Angeles court in March 2020 – before being suspended for 14 months due to the corona pandemic.
In May this year, the trial was resumed.
Known through documentaries
Robert Durst’s life and the unsolved murder mysteries around him were the theme of the popular documentary series “The Jinx” on HBO in 2015.
–Durst has denied being involved in any murder, but there has been controversy around the end of the documentary where he is confronted with what appears to be inexplicable evidence.
He can no longer hold the mask and is clearly stressed. When the interview is over, he goes to the bathroom, unaware that the microphone is still on, and mumbles allegedly:
– What the hell was I doing? Killed them all, of course.
In retrospect, Durst has explained that he was intoxicated during all the interviews that were done in connection with “The Jinx”.
