Multilevel step on UNICAES roundabout inaugurated in Santa Ana – Diario La Página – 2024-03-16 14:28:59

The Minister of Public Works, Romeo Rodríguez, together with the director of the Road Conservation Fund (Fovial), Alexander Beltrán, and the Vice Minister of Transportation, Nelson Reyes, inaugurated the multilevel crossing over the Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer roundabout, better known as UNICAES , in Santa Ana.

“Today we want to inaugurate the seventh overpass, a multilevel overpass, that has been developed in the Government of President Nayib Bukele, and I say the seventh because the eighth is going to be the step that we have built in the Integration circle,” Rodríguez stated.

Likewise, this work is benefiting more than 30,000 drivers who travel this road daily; reducing transfer times.

“This work was built with the objective of alleviating the problems for more than 30,000 vehicles that travel in this sector, without a doubt the traffic has been alleviated. While it is true, much needs to be done, but the people of Santa Ana will not let me lie that vehicular traffic has been reduced,” added the Minister of Public Works.

The work consists of the construction of an elevated two-lane overpass, one in each direction, for the passage from Los 44 Boulevard to the road to Metapán, 270 meters long.

Likewise, a one-lane underpass in the direction from the old highway to San Salvador to 25 South Avenue, 230 meters long; and finally the improvement of the old highway to Santa Ana and detour to San Pablo Tacachico.

Also included is the expansion of access on the south side, an area known as El Molino bridge, the improvement of the David Granadino diagonal, bays for bus stops and improvement of the drainage system to prevent flooding.
