Multi Vedlikehold Drift (MVD) had NOK 118 million in debt, according to court documents from late January. On Tuesday, there was a knock on the door and the company was declared bankrupt, writes E24.
In 2022, Multi Vedlikehold Drift had NOK 645 million in revenue. The result before tax came in at NOK 105 million. In the same year, the company was registered with 177 employees.
When asked what will happen to the employees, the administrator answers A person, often a lawyer, who takes over the management of a bankrupt company in order to liquidate it properly. Håvard Wiker that they will now see if there is anyone who wants to continue the business.
The company is the largest in the Multi Industrier group, which is based in Tysvær municipality.
Trustee Wiker tells E24 that the entire group has been undergoing reconstruction, also known as bankruptcy protection, for the past two weeks.
– Today, Multi Vedlikehold Drift was taken into bankruptcy proceedings. Multi Industrier, Multi Vedlikehold Eiendom and Multi Vedlikehold Rental are still undergoing reconstruction. They will probably be there for a while, he says.

– Talk about some shares
– Now we are trying to get control of the values in the company. Among other things, we are talking about a number of shares that we have to make an assessment on, says Wiker.

In January, the reconstruction, also known as bankruptcy protection in the company, was opened. According to the district court, because “The debtor has serious financial problems, and that the debtor has not found a solution to the debt problems”.
– We had some good years, then there were some contracts we didn’t win, so there was a liquidity crunch, said general manager John Steinar Pedersen to Haugesund’s newspaper at the end of January.
– Both the district court and the reconstructionist believe that life is made – there are more values than debts, Pedersen said at the time.
Pedersen did not have the opportunity to answer E24’s questions on Tuesday afternoon.
Owns several companies
According to the Brønnøysund registers, Multi Vedlikehold Drift operates with surface treatment of metals and other specialized construction and construction activities.
The company owns the subsidiary Multi Vedlikehold Rental, which is still undergoing reconstruction. Multi Vedlikehold Drift also owns 80 percent of the company KB Stålindustrier and 55 percent of the company Multi Watertools.
The group has also operated a vineyard in Slovenia since 2004.
Today’s business referred to the annual accounts in 2022 and wrote that the vineyard will either be rented out to tourists or put up for sale.
