Multi-Alarm Fire Erupts at Brooklyn’s Cobble Hill Gym – NBC New York

NEW YORK — New York City firefighters were battling a fire at a gym in Brooklyn Monday morning, authorities said.

The fire at UFC Fit, formerly a New York Sports Club, on Boerum Place near Pacific Street in the Cobble Hill section was reported around 10 a.m.

At least two injuries, a civilian and a firefighter, were reported, according to the fire department, although the extent was not immediately clear.

More than 200 fire and EMS members were at the scene of the two-story fire.

The city’s Office of Emergency Management tweeted a message warning people to expect smoke and delays in the area as authorities investigate.
