Müllheim, Steinen : Gas pipeline between Müllheim-Hügelheim and Steinen-Hüsingen is being modernized – Freiburg regional council has initiated planning approval procedures – planning documents will be available for inspection in the affected communities from February 15th

The Firmenan Trans-Europa-Naturgas-Pipeline (TENP) is modernizing its gas pipeline between Hügelheim (Müllheim city) and Hüsingen (Steinen municipality; Lörrach district) over a length of around 30 kilometers. The Regional Council of Freiburg (RP) has initiated the planning approval process for this purpose. The planning documents will be available for inspection in the affected communities from Tuesday, February 15th to Monday, March 14th. The documents can also be viewed on the website of the RP www.rp-freiburg.de under the heading “Aktuelles”.

Affected and interested parties have the opportunity to find out more about the plans. Anyone whose interests are affected by the project can raise objections up to and including Thursday, April 28th.

The new gas supply line is to be built almost entirely on the existing route. The existing line runs from the Hügelheim compressor station in a southerly direction and from the community of Schliengen in a south-westerly direction. The line extends over the area of ​​the cities of Müllheim and Neuenburg am Rhein, the communities of Auggen (Breisgau-Hochscharzwald), Schliengen, Bad Bellingen, the city of Kandern, the communities of Wittlingen and Rümmingen as well as the city of Lörrach and the community of Steinen (Lörrach district) .
