The IP law firm Müller Schupfner & Partner has strengthened its litigation practice in Munich with Carsten Schulte. He joined Gowling WLG as a partner.


Dr. Carsten Schulte specializes in trademark and patent infringement proceedings and joined the IP litigation team at the Munich office of Müller Schupfner & Partner on February 1, 2021. As announced by the firm, Schulte will take over the management after a transition period of several weeks. Dr. Thomas Huber, who was previously at the head of the practice group, will move to the German Patent and Trademark Office.

Schulte comes to Müller Schupfner & Partner from Gowling WLG, where he has been working since 2017. Earlier in his professional career were Fish & Richardson, Jones Day and Heisse Kursawe Eversheds. The lawyer conducts intellectual property law suits, but also accompanies transactions with a view to IP rights and advises on domain law.

16 patent attorneys now work for Schupfner & Partner in Munich. The litigation team currently consists of six people. The office has another location in Hamburg.
