Mülheim in film – POTTKINDER
Retrospective Alexander Waldhelm – three films from Mülheim
EUNOIA shows all three previous films of the Mülheim filmmaker
The Mülheim filmmaker Alexander Waldhelm has made three films so far, almost all of which were shot in Mülheim – including not far from the only connect / eunoia theater. We will be showing them in September.
The first film on Saturday, 14th, is “Pottkinder – a homeland film”. Two weeks later, it continues with “Relationships – no beautiful country” and the next day, the final film is “Darf ich das so schreiben?”, which premiered at the Lichtburg in Essen at the beginning of this year. The film begins at 6 p.m. and is followed by a discussion with the filmmaker.
Due to funding from the citizen participation budget as part of the funding program “Social Cohesion Mülheim an der Ruhr – Mülheim City Center,” admission is free. Reservations of tickets are recommended and can be made at.
Pottkinder – a home film
The film sheds light on the life of the three-member Klüsen family somewhere between Duisburg and Dortmund. While the father has settled into his everyday life, his son, who is about to finish his studies, has to look for his first job. Meanwhile, the mother is secretly fighting the demon of depression.
