Head of Information and Communication MUI DKI Jakarta Faiz Rafdi asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to review the arrival of former adult film star Maria Ozawa or Miyabi at an exclusive dinner on June 5.
“We did ask the DKI Provincial Government to review this plan. Because it is not useful. The gala dinner also does not increase tourism, especially from education,” said Faiz to CNNIndonesia.comThursday (19/5).
Faiz stated that his party had refused Maria Ozawa’s arrival to Jakarta to attend the event. For him, inviting Maria to Jakarta was not educational at all. The reason, Maria is still symbolized as a porn star.
“Not him as an individual, yes, as a human being. We respect that. But as a symbol we strongly reject it,” he said.
On the other hand, Faiz said he didn’t mind Maria Ozawa coming to Jakarta aas long as it has given up its symbol as a porn star.
“Unless for example he shows his repentance and his change. He condemns what he once did,” he said.
It is known, that there had been leaflets circulating on social media that Maria Ozawa planned to come to Jakarta on June 5, 2022.
The woman from Japan is scheduled to hold a gala dinner exclusively in Jakarta. One person who will attend the gala dinner must pay more than Rp. 15 million. According to the flyer issued by Repezen Entertainment Present, the event was titled “Gala Dinner with Miyabi” for only 50 people.
Not only MUI DKI, previously elements of Islamic organizations from Mujahid 212 and PA 212 had strongly rejected the Miyabi event plan.
