A decree was issued renewing the appointment of Muhammad Yousef Yacoub Yousef to the position of Assistant Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary for a period of 4 years.
Decree No. 197 of 2023 issued by the Minister of Finance, Fahd Abdulaziz Al-Jarallah, stated that the decree is effective from March 11, 2023.
It is noteworthy that the Direct Investment Promotion Authority was established pursuant to Law No. 116 of 2013 to encourage direct investment in Kuwait, to carry out the tasks of encouraging and attracting value-added direct investments, promoting Kuwait as a home for promising investment, receiving license applications, granting benefits, and serving investors, in addition to working to improve the business environment. And enhancing Kuwait’s competitiveness in the global economy, which would support the desired goals of achieving economic diversification and supporting the leadership of the private sector in the national economy.
The Authority is keen for its website to be the main and vital platform for providing the information and data needed by the investor and visitor with transparency, accuracy, and keeping up with developments, especially with regard to introducing the Authority’s role, relevant laws and regulations, incentives and guarantees.
