NNA – Hermel – The people of the town of Labweh and the northern Bekaa, amid an atmosphere of sadness and anger, mourned Muhammad Ibrahim Sorour, who was found murdered in the Beit Mery area in the northern Matn.
The funeral procession began in front of his house in the town with the participation of the head of the Baalbek-Hermel parliamentary bloc, MP Hussein Haj Hassan, and members of the bloc, MPs Ibrahim al-Moussawi, Ihab Hamada, Ali al-Miqdad, Salih and Melhem al-Hujairi, a delegation from the Hezbollah leadership in the Bekaa, the al-Qaa parish priest, Father Elian Nasrallah. A delegation from the Supreme Shiite Islamic Council, clerics, activists, and a crowd of people.
The march moved through the streets of the town amid chants denouncing the heinous crime and demanding a fair investigation to uncover the truth and take revenge on the criminal perpetrators.
The funeral arrived at the town’s kindergarten, where Sorour was laid to rest after Sheikh Hassan Al-Salman led the prayer over his body.
