JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – Youtuber Muhammad Kece was officially reported to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police for alleged blasphemy in the content of his lectures.
This was confirmed by the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono when asked for confirmation, Sunday (22/8/2021).
“Yes, that’s right, there has been a report to the police,” he told Kompas.tv.
However, Argo did not want to detail the report against Youtuber Muhammad Kece. According to him, further information will be delivered by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on tomorrow, Monday, August 23, 2021.
As is known, the content of YouTuber Muhammad Kece’s lectures has drawn criticism for being considered misleading and blaspheming religion.
The criticism did not only come from the public and religious leaders, even the Ministry of Religion also criticized Youtuber Muhammad Kece’s inappropriate actions.

On Saturday (21/8/2021), Deputy Chairperson of MUI Anwar Abbas said the video made by YouTuber Muhammad Kece had degraded religion and could trigger religious divisions.
“In the video that has been circulating lately, I see that the person in question has gone beyond the boundaries that I think will greatly disrupt the harmony of life among the religious people in the country,” Abbas told Kompas TV.
In fact, according to Abbas, the dictions used by Muhammad Kece were delivered consciously.
