Buleleng –
Vice presidential candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) campaign in Buleleng, Bali. Cak Imin said that when he invited his brother to join in supporting the AMIN couple, he asked about money.
“(Brother) Coincidentally, Gus is in East Java, I asked him to fight, for change, the answer was ‘ono pesse ne no?’. The answer was ‘Do you have money?’. I answered that this struggle is bigger than just small change, this change changes the fate of the people “Don’t mortgage the fate of these people,” said Cak Imin at Lt. Col. Wisnu Airport, Buleleng, Bali, Friday (26/1/2024).
Cak Imin believes that every candidate who spends a lot of money in the elections has a burden to pay back. He hoped that his brother would be conscious and not become a money man.
“When people spend a lot of money in elections, what do they usually do? If they win, they will pay it back and who will be harmed? Again, it will be the people who will be harmed,” said Cak Imin.
“Hopefully my brother can get guidance from Allah, amen, hopefully my brother’s eyes are not those of money. God willing, my brother over there will hear what I say,” he added.
However, Cak Imin was reluctant to reveal who the figure in question was. He only conveyed the struggle he carried out as dedication and could not be measured through money.
“That’s a secret (his figure), it’s a secret, it’s there. Of course this will be a note later, that this struggle should not be measured by money. To all my brothers and sisters, the main thing is this struggle, dedication, not just to get money,” said Cak Imen.
“If you calculate it, 1 million divided by 5 years doesn’t make any sense, right? That’s why people must be made aware that votes cannot be sold. Votes must be cast with conscience, not because of money,” he said.
