Mubadala Investment Company “Mubadala”, the Abu Dhabi Sovereign Investment Firm, announced yesterday the transfer of Musabbeh Al Kaabi from his current position in Mubadala as CEO of Investment Sector in the Emirates, to assume the post of CEO of Low Carbon Solutions The sector and the new international growth of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) From Monday 16 January 2023.
Musabbeh Al-Kaabi’s appointment follows the announcement of ADNOC’s strategy to support UAE’s strategic initiative for Climate Neutrality 2050. Low-carbon solutions sector and new international growth focus on investments in new energy and low-carbon solutions, as well as international growth in areas including gas, liquefied natural gas and chemicals.
His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Group, said: The leadership role played by Musabbah Al Kaabi in the energy sector in the UAE and globally, in addition to his leadership over decades of various global investments and partnerships that have contributed to the promotion and advancement of national priorities, represents a unique source that qualifies him to lead this vital new sector in the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. His Excellency added, We at Mubadala would like to thank Musabeh Al Kaabi for his work and achievements over the past decade, and wish him success as he joins a number of his distinguished fellow Mubadala graduates, to serve the UAE in important new national missions.
Since 2002, Mubadala has presented a generation of leaders who have occupied many leadership positions in the UAE, including some ministers of the UAE Ministerial Council, CEOs of key Emirati institutions and members of the Federal National Council.
During his years at Mubadala, Al-Kaabi served as a member of the firm’s investment committee, where he played a strategic role in advising on all major investment decisions relating to the firm’s various sectors and businesses.
Since 2021, Musabah Al-Kaabi has held the position of CEO of the UAE Investment Sector in Mubadala. This Sector works to support and accelerate the UAE’s economic transformation efforts through the establishment of leading domestic and industrial companies and commercial complexes.
