MU Permanent Sabitzer and Weghorst? Later

Manchester

There is a discourse Wout Weghorst and Marcel Sabitzer will be permanent Manchester United Next season. Erik ten Hag hasten to clarify it is such.

Weghorst and Sabitzer were loaned by MU from their respective clubs for a duration of six months. The Red Devils need Weghorst to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, Sabitzer was brought in at the end of the January transfer market due to Christian Eriksen’s ankle injury which kept him out until May.

The two of them have often played since joining last January, especially Weghorst. From 13 matches, Weghorst made one goal and three assists.

Sabitzer does have to be patient because he is more often played as a substitute. He’s only played six times.

Indeed, there is no permanent option in both loan contracts. Moreover, Weghorst is reportedly going to be retained by Burnley if the club is promoted to the Premier League.

However, recent developments state that MU will be given the option to buy Weghorst and Sabitzer this summer. Given that MU wants to save money, both are logical choices rather than buying top players whose prices are exorbitant.

Regarding these rumors, Ten Hag hasn’t thought about it because the season is still long and MU is focused on wiping out the three remaining trophies that can be won.

“First of all, we are still busy with the ongoing season. We are just focused on that. We don’t want to be distracted about plans for next season,” said Erik ten Hag to Manchester Evening News.

“No, we still have this season and we are in the right position at the moment. We want to be in this position from the start of the mission, because we are still competing in three events.”
