Bola.net – Former striker Manchester United, Dimitar Berbatov commenting on the figure of the Red Devils midfielder, Scott McTominay. He considered the young MU midfielder to have a strange situation after the lockdown period.

McTominay did have a good season at the start of last season. He is trusted by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be a regular starter in the MU squad and he performed well when given the opportunity by Solskjaer.

But after the lockdown period, McTominay rarely played. Even though he was not injured, he mostly sat on the bench.

Berbatov can’t understand why McTominay hasn’t played recently. “I find McTominay’s situation very strange,” explained Berbatov Betfair.

Berbatov admitted he was surprised why McTominay didn’t play much despite his good performance. For that he hopes the midfielder can get more opportunities next season.

“Day [McTominay] very fit and ready to play. He also recently signed a contract extension, but why doesn’t he play? “

“Is it because Matic and Fred played really well? I’m not sure personally, but I really like him. Hopefully he can catch up next season and get back into the team.”

Berbatov also believes that next season all MU players must be in combat ready condition.

He said that with MU’s participation in the Champions League, MU players must maintain their condition so that when the rotation is carried out their performance does not decrease.
