Manchester United cut points from Manchester City in Premier League standings. The Red Devils captain, Bruno Fernandes, is cool about that.
At Old Trafford, Saturday (14/1/2023), MU won 2-1 over Man City. MU did not get the three points easily.
MU fell behind Man City due to Jack Grealish’s goal following a pass from Kevin De Bruyne. MU won after Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored goals.
With this victory over The Citizens, MU now sits in third place in the Premier League standings with 38 points. They are a point away from Pep Guardiola’s team which is in second place. Meanwhile with Arsenal, the top standings, MU disputed five points.
Victory Man United it did not want to be enjoyed by Bruno Fernandes for too long. Now, they will focus on looking at the next match.
“That’s not a problem for us. We have to look forward to the next match,” said Bruno Fernandes as reported by bt sports.
“If you don’t keep winning, they will stay away (Man City will have a further advantage). We celebrate a big win, but starting tomorrow the focus is on the next match,” he added.
Man United will have their next match in the Premier League continuation on January 19, 2023. They will visit Crystal Palace headquarters.
