MTV Video Music Awards 2024 Taylor Swift favorite with ten nominations

Taylor Swift is the frontrunner in the race for the most trophies at the VMAs. She is nominated in ten categories this time.
The nominees for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) have been announced and Taylor Swift is the hottest favorite for the awards, which will be presented on September 10. According to the official announcement of the potential winners, the 34-year-old on MTV.com tops the list with a total of ten nominations.
Will Taylor Swift be artist of the year?
Among other things, Taylor Swift has been nominated in the “Artist of the Year” category together with her strongest competitor Ariana Grande (31), who has been nominated for an MTV VMA six times. Swift is also the favorite in the “Music Video of the Year” category with her song “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone (29). The singer is also competing in the “Song of the Year” category with the song and has to prevail against Beyoncé’s (42) “Texas Hold ‘Em”, among others. Other categories for which Swift could be awarded include “Best Visual Effects” and “Best Art Direction”. The video for “Fortnight” is also up for election there.
With up to ten Moon Man trophies at the upcoming VMAs, the American could possibly top her winning streak of nine awards last year. Post Malone has earned nine nominations thanks to his collaboration on Swift’s hit song “Fortnight”. Sabrina Carpenter (25) with her hit “Espresso”, rapper Eminem (51) with “Houdini” and Ariana Grande with “We Can’t Be Friends” are each named six times in the voting lists. Fans can now vote for the musicians on the station’s homepage.
Taylor Swift is currently still on her “The Eras” world tour. She will perform five times at London’s Wembley Stadium from August 15 to 20 and will conclude the European leg of her tour there.
