As has been the case for several years, MTN Cameroon through its subsidiary Mobile Money Corporation (MMC) supports the University Games of Cameroon. The telecommunications operator is positioned as the official sponsor of this event which is taking place, for this edition, in the city of N’Gaoundéré. It thus responds for the 18th consecutive year to the invitation of the National Federation of University Sport (FENASU).

Alongside FENASU, MTN is involved in the general organization of the Games through participation bonuses for athletes; sponsorship of the general Fan Club competition; clothing for all finalist teams; the endowment of all medals and trophies; the deployment of a musical scene for the general animation of the games village. The local subsidiary of the South African company is also making a contribution to the renovation of the university which is hosting the competition, in particular the playgrounds. And as a telecommunications company, it offers its services for communication around the event via internet coverage for example.

In 18 years, the company declares having invested at least 1.5 billion FCFA in the organization of the University Games in Cameroon. These resources have been mobilized in particular in the construction of sports infrastructure in various campuses of the country, sports equipment. They have also been used to finance bonuses and other rewards; the general animation of the Games and many other activities.
