MTA worker stabbed at Brooklyn Station – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – An MTA driver was attacked and stabbed by a passenger at a Brooklyn subway station on Tuesday, according to the New York City Police Department.

The incident happened shortly before 11 a.m. at the Utica Avenue subway station, near the intersection of Utica Avenue and Fulton Street in the Bed-Stuy section.

According to authorities, the driver approached a passenger when it was time to get off the train as they had reached the last stop. The initial interaction was followed by a verbal argument which ended with the passenger stabbing the driver in the torso and leg.

The worker was transported to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, according to the FDNY.

Police later confirmed the arrest of a 27-year-old suspect, who was detained in Transit District 32.
