MTA bus crashes into pole in Brooklyn

Several people were injured after a Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) bus collided with a pole in Brooklyn.

According to the Fire Department, the incident took place around noon this Saturday, just near Floyd Bennett Field, in Marine Park.

The agency reports that there were 21 passengers on the Q-35 bus of which four were injured and one was taken to hospital.

The MTA issued a statement saying they are grateful that no one was seriously injured.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

This is not the first case that a bus has been involved in an accident this week.

On Thursday, more than a dozen people were injured after a Bee Line Westchester bus crashed into the post of an elevated track in the Bronx.

Authorities indicate that two cars collided causing the bus to swerve and crash.
