JAN, 24 (EUROPA PRESS)

The deadline for submitting applications for one of the five categories of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award in Sustainable Development, organized by the Provincial Council in January, has been extended to next 21 October, as stated in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), consulted by Europa Press.

Part of the 2022 Employment and Business Plan, this competition has a prize pool of 18,000 euros: 4,000 for the project, experience, female and youth-led businesses and career categories, while the business career category is endowed with 2,000 euros .

This call, now in its 23rd edition, aims to encourage, mobilize and support the entrepreneurs of Jaén in the realization of entrepreneurial projects that are viable and lead to the creation of stable employment.

At the same time, entrepreneurial experiences are recognized which, due to their innovative nature, can be a stimulus for the economic, sustainable and balanced development of the province of Jaén.

Within the established categories, natural persons registered in the Jan province and Jaén companies established after 31 December 2015 that present an innovative project that can be developed or developed in the province can participate in the Enterprise Project. On the other hand, Business Experience is open to innovative Jaén companies that demonstrate their establishment and start of business before January 1, 2016.

In addition to these modalities, there is the one for women-led businesses, in which most of the capital belongs to women or the workforce is mainly made up of them. There is also a category for young people under 35, for companies with capital or staff in which professionals of that age predominate.

Finally, the Business Trajectory category is aimed at companies that have a work center in the Jan province and that have distinguished themselves for their innovation or for their involvement in territorial development. In this way, any natural or legal person can offer companies as candidates.

In this edition, particular interest is reserved for the 17 objectives approved by the United Nations Organization in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, as a universal appeal to all administrations to work for a better quality of life for people around the world.

Specifically, Emprende and Innova is aligned with the goal of promoting sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic development, full and productive employment and decent work for all and with that of building resilient infrastructures, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and encourage innovation.
