MSI Unveils MPG 321CURX QD-OLED: A 32-Inch Curved Gaming Monitor with 240Hz Refresh Rate and HDR Support

MSI has introduced the MPG 321CURX QD-OLED. It is a 32” curved gaming monitor with a QD OLED panel and a 240Hz refresh rate. The resolution of the panel is 16:9 3840×2160 pixels and the screen has a curvature of 1700R.

The monitor has according to MSI response time of 0.03 milliseconds. Tech website TFTCentral writes that the screen can display 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, 98 percent of the AdobeRGB color space and 138 percent of the sRGB color space. The 240Hz refresh rate would be variable. The panel supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and suitable synctechnologies from both Nvidia and AMD.

The QD OLED panel is reported to be produced by Samsung. The screen is according to TFTCentral contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and a typical maximum brightness of 250 candela per square meter. The maximum brightness in HDR mode is 1000 candela per square meter. The screen received DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and supports 10bit colors.

The MPG 321CURX QD-OLED has a DisplayPort 1.4 connection, two HDMI 2.1 ports and one USB-C connection. This connector supports DP Alt Mode and a power supply of 98W. There is also a 3.5mm audio jack and two USB A 2.0 ports. MSI has built a KVM switch into the device.

The manufacturer has provided the monitor with software that should reduce the risk of burn-in: Pixel Shift, Panel Protect and Static Screen Detection. There is also a Multi Logo Finder, Taskbar Finder and the so-called Border Finder. The screen does not have an active cooling system, but a modified heatsink that is responsible for heat dissipation. According to TFTCentral, the MPG 321CURX QD-OLED has a price tag of 1399 euros.
