MSI has released a teaser of its plans to enter the handheld gaming console market with an upcoming model featuring a dragon-themed design. A full announcement will take place at CES 2024.
In short video the front of the device is demonstrated, reminiscent of ASUS’ ROG Ally and Steam Deck OLED – with RGB backlighting on the triggers. MSI also focuses on the air vents, which can highlight the cooling capabilities. A large MSI dragon logo is shown, which may also be RGB.
It’s too early to say which chip MSI will choose – AMD Ryzen or Intel Core Ultra. Both offer good built-in graphics capabilities and support for upscaling technologies such as FSR and XeSS.
Probably, the characteristics, release date and price of this device will be announced immediately at CES 2024 next week. Clearly, the success of the Steam Deck has started a new trend.
