MSI is presenting no less than four models simultaneously for its new Summit range, which targets professionals and creatives with elegant and efficient machines.
MSI, a manufacturer renowned for its powerful and reliable gaming machines, is entering the professional computer market with its Summit range. To meet the needs of this clientele, the manufacturer relies on a sober and elegant design with an ultra-thin aluminum frame with a “d.military grade urability”And a borderless screen, all accompanied by a new, more modern logo. This line includes the Summit E and Summit B series, each with 14- and 15-inch models, as well as a convertible known as the 13-inch E13 Flip.
Premium design and state-of-the-art components
True to its brand image, MSI does not skimp on performance and automatically offers the 11th generation (Tiger Lake) of Intel Core processors across the range. Where the difference is made between the two series is by the use of an Nvidia GTX Max-Q graphics card (up to the 1650 Ti) for the Summit E, which therefore seem to present themselves as machines intended for creative use. For the screen of the latter, two options are available, both for the 14 and 15.6-inch model: either a UHD 4K IPS screen that covers 100% of the Adobe RGB color space, or a Full HD IPS touch screen that covers 72% of the NTSC color space. As for the Summit B, it will be necessary to be satisfied with an integrated Intel Xe graphics chip and a Full HD IPS panel.
For connections, the Summit E14 and E15 are entitled to two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD card reader and a headphone jack. The E15 also has two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports and one HDMI, while the E14 makes do with a single USB-A 2.0 port. They will support facial recognition and fingerprint authentication, and are equipped with TPM 2.0 security chips. As for the Summit B14 and B15, they both benefit from a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader and a headphone jack. The Summit B also have a battery life of more than 10 hours according to MSI.
