MSI has announced a housing in its Creator series. Previously, the company only released laptops and motherboards in that series. The Creator 400M is intended for workstations, such as for content creation. The suggested retail price and release date are unknown.
MSI announces the Creator 400M on his website. The mid tower is made of aluminum. The 400M is 550mm deep, 235mm wide and 503mm high. The enclosure provides space for motherboards with an e-atx form factor or smaller. The midtower weighs 7.71kg without hardware. The 400M has a tempered glass side panel. The housing is also equipped with sound-absorbing material.
The front panel folds open, giving users access to a single 5.25 “bay. The Creator 400M offers space for two 3.5” HDDs and two 2.5 “drives for storage. The enclosure supports graphics cards with a 450mm maximum length and processor coolers up to 180mm high The 400M also provides power supplies with a maximum depth of 180mm When the HDD bays are removed, 200mm PSUs can be installed.
Up to three 120mm or 140mm fans can be attached to the front of the 400M. The back offers space for a single 140mm or 120mm fan. MSI comes standard with two 140mm fans at the front and a single 140mm fan at the back.
The top is also equipped with two USB 3.2 gen 1 and two USB 2.0 connectors of type A. There is also a USB-C connection, which offers throughput speeds of up to 10Gbit / s. The Creator 400M also has two 3.5mm jacks for audio and a button with which the integrated RGB LEDs can be controlled.
MSI has not yet announced a suggested retail price or release date. However, the housing is for sale at some Dutch webshops, with prices of around 180 euros. It is not clear whether this will be the final price. The delivery time is not yet known.
