The cruise company MSC Cruises Launches a new luxury brand Explora JOURNEYS, which will offer luxury cruises with new standards and unique destinations. Special arrangements were also made for kosher observant passengers.
The new brand is the realization of an ambitious vision that has never been seen before in the field of luxury cruises in the world that offers a unique, pampering and luxurious travel experience at every possible level. The luxury brand Explora JOURNEYS will launch a fleet of 6 luxury ships in the coming years, with the first ship, “Explore I“recently launched in Copenhagen.
The new brand will offer cruises to the most sought-after destinations in the world such as Northern Europe (fjords, Iceland, the Baltics, Scandinavia), the Caribbean, South America, as well as the Red Sea and the Emirates region. Explora I offers sailing itineraries that will also visit sites that are not on the usual sailing routes such as unspoiled and less-touristed islands. In the summer of 2024, the ship will arrive for cruises in the Mediterranean on routes between the less touristed Greek islands, Croatian islands, Italy and more. In 2023, it will embark on a variety of routes in Europe and the USA, including a cruise that departs from the port of Hamburg in Germany via Rotterdam in the Netherlands, the port of Bruges in Belgium and arrives at Southampton in London. In the winter season, the ship will sail to the coasts of North America and the Caribbean islands and then return to Europe.The luxury ship “Explora I” includes 461 luxurious suites and extra large, all overlooking the ocean. Each suite has a spacious balcony. The suites on the ship range from 35 square meters to 149 square meters. Of the 461 suites on the ship, 22 are in the concept of elegant luxury apartments, 67 are magnificent penthouses and 371 suites, of which 78 are accessible and suitable for disabled guests. All suites and apartments on the ship offer a view of the open ocean and amenities such as an illy espresso machine, a Dyson hair stylist, a pampering chaise longue on each balcony, a 65-inch screen TV, an included mini bar that is renewed every day, premium champagne and more.
The luxury ship “Explora I” offers its guests a culinary experience conducted by international chefs who create menus in collaboration with the well-known chef Franck Garanger who was chosen to manage the culinary field of the Explora Journeys. Kosher keepers can pre-order kosher meals to be cooked in a separate oven, but without a kosher supervisor in the first step. On the ship there are 5 luxurious chef restaurants and a rich menu for serving meals in the rooms. Among the chefs on the ship is the Italian chef Mauro Uliassi, owner of a restaurant that holds 3 Michelin stars in Italy, who is known for his innovative and creative approach to Italian cuisine and his creations have received international praise. Chefs from Michelin restaurants will alternately be guests on the ship and offer Michelin dishes from different restaurants in the world.
The ship offers 12 luxurious entertainment spaces that include indoor and outdoor bars and lounges in an elegant atmosphere with a wide variety of flavored wines from around the world. The premium drinks are included in the price of the cruise, including champagne, premium wines, single malt whiskey, cocktails, a variety of beers from around the world and more.
On the luxury liner “Explora I” you will find luxurious stores of the luxury brands: Cartier, Panerai and Piaget, and also the Rolex brand store where you can purchase the brand watches on the spot without a one-year waiting list like in other stores in the world. All the stores on the ship are designed in an elegant style, in accordance with the luxury stores of these brands and offer a shopping experience of the highest standards.
The “Wellness” area on the ship offers experiences, programs and spaces inspired by the expanses of the ocean. The variety of programs and treatments help guests reach a state of inner and outer calm and concentration. You can choose and adjust a personal wellness program for each guest. On the ship there is a spacious spa and beauty complex designed in perfect synergy with the ocean. Cruises on the “Explora I” ship combine various activities for guests starting with culinary workshops in a prestigious and dedicated complex where the participants cook with a French chef dressed in chef clothes (which they receive as a souvenir to take home). The 3 lounges on board offer spectacular music in different styles every evening in a non-binding atmosphere through specially selected artists. In addition, there are fascinating lectures about the cultures that are on the sailing route, sports classes, yoga and stretching, a casino, a children’s club and more.
