MSC Cruises has announced that its GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS entertainment program will be rolled out across its entire fleet.
This program, which allows passengers to attempt to beat official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles in numerous areas, was launched on two of the company’s ships, MSC Seascape et MSC World Europalast March.
It is now available on 12 ships and will be rolled out across the entire MSC Cruises fleet by next year.
Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment at MSC Cruisessaid: “The program was a huge success with our guests, both adults and children. To date, MSC Cruises passengers and crew have achieved 30 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles, breaking world records such as the fastest person to pull 100 meters of rope (about the length of a football field ) or that of completing 20 rotations on a chair in less than 21 seconds or that of putting on the greatest number of socks on one foot in less than 30 seconds. Our hosts rose to fame by breaking records that were as original as they were amusing. We are delighted to be able to offer this program on more ships, for the enjoyment of all our guests, whatever their age. This partnership expansion is part of MSC Cruises’ overall strategy to further enrich its immersive onboard entertainment programs and deliver experiences carefully designed to satisfy all tastes. »
Matteo Mancini, Senior Manager of Family Entertainment, said: “GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS perfectly illustrates the type of successful activities we offer on board MSC Cruises ships, to entertain all members of the family. It warms our hearts to see customers of all ages coming together to compete against each other in a fun way. On board our ships, everyone can become a star, and the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS concept is no longer just accessible in books or on television. We have made it an unmissable experience to fully enjoy on board our ships. »
When the ship is at sea, guests can participate in record-breaking activities during the day and audition for the big evening show, where lucky finalists have the opportunity to showcase their talents and attempt to become the next glorious world record holder.
Every new record holder is certified by an official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator and receives a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS certificate. Guests thus have the ultimate privilege of bragging to those around them and experiencing unforgettable moments during their vacation.
To date, the program is available on 12 ships positioned around the world, including MSC World Europa, MSC Euribia, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa, MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape, MSC Divina and MSC Magnifica. The ships to have recently integrated this program into their entertainment offer are MSC Belissima, MSC Seaside et MSC Splendida.
