The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) managed to ensure that 14 MS gang members received sentences of up to 120 years in prison.
The gang members who were convicted operated in different areas of Santa Tecla and the department of La Libertad.
According to reports, these gang members deprived the victims of their freedom, took their lives and buried them in clandestine cemeteries. Among the victims of these cases are a police officer and a security guard.
These sentences were imposed by the Fifth Court against Organized Crime, for events that were committed between 2017 and 2019.
According to reports, the gang members were found guilty of 13 cases of aggravated homicides, one attempted aggravated homicide, 7 deprivations of liberty and illicit groups.
Among those convicted are:
• Milton Isaac López Rogel, sentenced to 120 years in prison.
• José Alirio Morales, 112 years in prison.
• José Alonso Chacón Rosa to 64 years in prison.
• Douglas Humberto Hernández Renderos, sentenced to 52 years in prison.
