Regarding the presidential candidate couple Radev-Yotova:
– The whole day on Monday, the 4th, the “news” was circulating that the caretaker government, you understand Rumen Radev, mercilessly chased the BSP from the headquarters at “Positano” 20 – instead of the leadership admitting that it had neglected the procedure for free use of the building and now the party owes hundreds of thousands of BGN to the treasury;
– The absurd procedure “according to the statute” for raising candidates for president and vice president by seat continues, and that day in Blagoevgrad the number reached as many as nine! Instead of stopping this unworthy game and unequivocally declaring full support for Rumen Radev and Iliana Yotova at a time when it is clear that the fight for the position of President of the Republic will be extremely intense;
– Yesterday’s “call-instruction” from the party BSTV screen was the height of shamelessness: “Vote for the BSP and against Rumen Radev! That’s what I’m saying, Stoil Roshkev!”. No, actually that’s what you say, Mrs. Ninova! Inadmissibly throwing hundreds of thousands of socialists and sympathizers, convinced that they must categorically support Radev-Yotova, into turmoil and bewilderment. We demand the immediate removal of Roshkev for conducting anti-BSP propaganda!
Of course, these vicious maneuvers of yours are not from today. An old associate of yours, a prominent political scientist, did not stop for months to inform us that “Radev’s chances for a second term decrease every day; Rumen Radev breaks the party system; Radev is waging a subversive war to destroy the BSP; Rumen Radev will bear responsibility for the failure of the caretaker government; Radev tried to split the BSP, acting as an evil genius, not as a president; Radev applies the principle “Subvert and rule”…But isn’t it perfectly clear that behind these maxims is actually your chorus?
According to the party lists for the November 14 parliamentary elections:
– The avant-garde method of “collective signature leadership” reached new heights – you imposed leaders, increasingly “established names” – ie. with an enviable asset of catastrophic losses already twice this year;
– In the arrangement of the lists, you confirmed the procedures of secondment of members-executors of the “will of Comrade Ninova” to confirm those whom she personally trusted…
It is long past time for you to come to your senses and stop “leading” the BSP from failure to failure until its complete invalidation and death as the country’s necessary leading political force! Today, for the umpteenth time, we once again address this appeal to you: Cease and immediately give way to the winning strategy and tactics to win the presidential election and perform well in the upcoming parliamentary elections!
At the same time, we have no illusions that you will listen to us and comply with the interests of the party. But we want to assure you that you will not run away from your responsibility – both for the political discrediting of the BSP as a force capable of giving Bulgaria a new perspective, and for the broken and weakened party structures in places where you introduced hatred and enmity, and for the actual insolvency of the party, and more, and more!
With today’s Open Letter, we want to simultaneously awaken the will of party activists and members to categorically reject the brutal pressure to which they are subjected, today not so much regarding lists and persons, but looking ahead to the upcoming high party forum – the Congress, at which the fate of our party will have to be decided from now on! We have absolutely no right to remain silent and allow her liquidation!
