jpnn.com, SURABAYA – East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa calls sacrificial cows from the President Jokowi submitted to the Al Akbar National Mosque in Surabaya, East Java is somewhat special.
The cow is slaughtered and distributed to residents.
“This cow is somewhat special, from a farm in Gresik, the breed of Ongole breed, weighing 1.04 tons,” Khofifah said when handing over a cow to the sacrificial committee at Al Akbar Surabaya Mosque, Friday (31/7).
The governor said, a month ago the president’s envoy came to the cattle ranchers in the Gresik area to check the condition of the cattle to be sacrificed.
“The information that came to us, the white request. Finally the presidential team directly reviewed the breeders, then looked at the health of the cattle and so on. So the presidential team chose,” he said.
In addition to handing over cows from the President, Governor Khofifah also handed over one ton of Ongole crossbred cows to the sacrificial committee at Al Akbar Mosque in Surabaya.
East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elestianto Dardak, East Java Provincial Secretary Heru Tjahjono, Regional Military Commander V / Brawijaya, East Java Regional Police Chief, East Java High Prosecutor’s Office, and Head of East Java High Court also handed over sacrificial animals to the sacrificial committee at Al Akbar Surabaya Mosque.
On the Eid al-Adha 1441 Hijri day, the Al Akbar Mosque sacrificial committee received 96 sacrificial animals consisting of 26 cows and 70 goats.
