MRB poll: ND remains first – Kyriakos Velopoulos strengthens – 2024-02-29 18:14:04

A lead of 17.9 percentage points is registered by New Democracy according to a new MRB poll for OPEN.

In particular, with regard to the intention to vote, ND appears first with a percentage of 29%, PaSoK follows second with 11.1%, SYRIZA third with 10.1%.

At the same time, “Hellenic Solution” shows upward trends, which appears fourth with 7.8%, passing the KKE of Dimitris Koutsoubas with 7%. Next are “Niki”, “Freedom Sailing” and “Spartiates” with 2.5, 2.3 and 2% respectively.

For the European elections, in terms of voting intention, the ND gathers 8%, followed by PaSoK with 9.7% and third is SYRIZA with 8.8%. Fourth is the Greek Solution with 7.5%. They are followed by the KKE with 7%, Niki with 3%, Pleussi Eleftherias with 2.8%, New Left with 2.4% and Spartans with 1.9%.

Pessimism about the exam for Tempi

The majority, i.e. 74.5%, are pessimistic about whether the commission of inquiry will shed light on the real causes of the Tempe accident and assign responsibility, while 17.7% say they are optimistic about a positive outcome.

Mitsotakis is more suitable for Prime Minister – Velopoulos is third

Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the most suitable for prime minister with 28.9%, followed by Stefanos Kasselakis with 7.7%, Kyriakos Velopoulos with 7.4%, Nikos Androulakis with 7.2% and Dimitris Koutsoubas with Yanis Varoufakis who gather from 3.5% each.

SYRIZA weakened after the Congress

It is characteristic that, according to the poll data, 50.3% of the respondents consider that SYRIZA came out of the conference weakened. As for SYRIZA voters, 41.2% consider that the party is coming out weakened, while 32% think it is coming out stronger.

In fact, 47.2% consider Tsipras’s intervention before the conference to be inappropriate, while 30.8% consider it appropriate.


On the contrary, 48.7% of SYRIZA voters in the June elections consider the former prime minister’s intervention appropriate and 37.1% consider it inappropriate.

Accuracy is a bigger problem

Accuracy remains for 53.5% of respondents, the country’s biggest problem. This is followed by Health with 31.3% and the amount of income with 20.6%.
