President Director Dr. Sardjito Hospital, Yogyakarta Rukmono Siswishanto submitted a letter to the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes). The letter contains a report of oxygen vacancies and a request for support oxygen to the Minister of Health and a number of related officials.
“We are applying for support so that oxygen needs can be met considering that Dr. Sardjito Hospital Yogyakarta is included as a referral hospital in handling COVID-19 to the critical,” said Rukmono in his letter, Saturday (3/7/2021).
Rukmono reported that the Director of RSUP Dr Sardjito had coordinated with various parties to obtain oxygen supplies from providers and other places. But until now still experiencing problems.
“The oxygen supply is estimated to arrive at the hospital at the earliest on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at 12.00 WIB,” said Rukmono.
Central oxygen supply Dr. Sardjito Hospital, he continued, decreased starting on Saturday (3/7) at 16.00 WIB until supplies ran out oxygen at 6 p.m.
“So it poses a risk to the safety of patients being treated, both COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients,” he said.
Rukmono emphasized that his party had made maximum anticipation efforts and optimal savings.
Meanwhile, the Head of Legal, Organizational and Public Relations Division of RSUP Dr. Sardjito, Banu Hermawan when confirmed said that Sardjito’s condition had been worrying since a few days ago. Currently the oxygen supply is on its way to Dr. Sardjito Hospital.
“So we’ve warning since 3-4 days ago and then dropped again. Until the peak this morning, we asked everywhere so that oxygen could be sent at the earliest at 11 pm tonight, he promised,” Banu said when contacted by reporters, Saturday night.
