Mr Biden’s first comment on Israel’s readiness to launch “imminent” ground operation in Lebanon

Al-Marsad Newspaper – Organizations: US President Joe Biden commented, on Monday, on reports of “imminent” Israeli ground operations in Lebanon.

Biden told reporters when asked if he was aware of reports about Israel’s plans to conduct limited operations, and if he would feel comfortable if they went ahead with it: “I know more what you know and I am comfortable to stop it, there must be a ceasefire now,” according to what Agence France-Presse said.

A White House official had said earlier, on Monday, that American officials had been informed that Israel was able to intensify its operations against Hezbollah.
