“Mr. Barriga” suffers a fall in a Televisa recording and is transferred to a hospital, this is the diagnosis – Publinews – 2024-04-15 10:57:03

On April 11, the Mexican actor Édgar Vivar, better known as “El Señor Barriga,” suffered an accident while recording a scene for the comedy program “Vecinos.” According to Elías Olorio, director of the series, the actor brings the character Hipólito to life.

According to Olorio, in an interview for a morning newspaper, the incident occurred because Vivar had a trip and was injured as a result. In this sense, the series team was quick to help him, he added.

“We were recording a scene and yes, at some point he lost his balance, because it was a scene where several people were there (…) he hit his head,” Olorio commented.

Despite the accident, Elías explained that Édgar Vivar only suffered a “small injury” from his fall, but it did not turn into something more serious.

Even so, the team preferred that the 75-year-old actor be taken to the hospital for a check-up and Mr. Barriga would have left the place without any major setbacks.

“Everything is fine, they gave him a small suture and now (he is at home),” the producer mentioned and added: “He already sent me joke messages, he is fine,” he said.

Finally, the producer made it clear that Édgar’s participation in the program they were recording would not be affected, since that day they recorded their last scene of that period, so it will air regularly.
