MPT closed 12 bars and nightclubs, among others – News from Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru

If they persist in infractions they could be closed permanently.

A total of 12 establishments, including bars, canteens, cebicherías, dance halls, discos, among others, closed the Provincial Municipality of Trujillo (MPT) temporarily during the first quarter of the year, for a month, in order to restore order in the city.

This is the result of complaints from citizens made to the commune, inspections and in some cases of operations in which various areas of the MPT participate such as Licensing, Civil Defense, Citizen Security, PNP and even the Public Ministry and the Prefecture.

These interventions result in an administrative process that concludes in the coercive enforcement of temporary closure, as a precautionary measure, regardless of the fact that a pecuniary sanction can also be applied, according to the infractions committed.

If the offender persists in the infractions, a closure can be applied for more days and even the definitive closure of the premises, explained the assistant manager of Licensing and Marketing of the MPT, Vicky Mori del Aguila.

The closures were for violating municipal infraction codes B-301, B-310, B-324, B-384, B-396 and H-102.

This is for allowing minors to enter shows where liquor is consumed without authorization, for the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors for their consumption and for using the withdrawal area and/or public thoroughfare for display or sale of products, carry out activities other than those authorized and fail to comply with security measures, among others.

A discotheque was also temporarily closed for frustrating the closure procedure that was being carried out through the Coercive Execution Sub-Management.

Among the closed premises are the Florida G&C SAC dance hall, the Corporación Santorini SAC nightclub, D’Kavi Billar, Olimpo Bar and Guapa Restobar, the El Bosque sports complex and others located on Miraflores, Tupac Amaru and Fátima avenues and another in Agriculture street.

IRAM INTERVENED IN MONSERRATE

On the other hand, the group of Rapid Interventions (IRAM) of Citizen Security intervened in urb. Monserrate to a group of women and men who drank liquor and danced on public roads, for which they proceeded to remove the people who were hindering free movement.
